Initial Contact
Contact us via Facebook messenger/text to get started. We'll discuss your budget (keys are typically priced $350 - $850 and upwards), and what kind of key you're looking to get made (i.e. wooden or acrylic glass, hanging or with a base). From there, we ask about their interests, favourite colours, and any imagery you want included in the key. If you'd like their photograph printed/etched into the key or a bible verse included- you can send those to us as well.
changes to orders
Whilst our design fee for each key is only $45 and each customer can have unlimited designs changes (within reason)- there may be addition costs incurred depending on the amount of work we do on the designs. If the key is not made, these additional costs will be deducted from the deposit before refunding the deposit. When you order a key from us, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
design process
After we have all the necessary information, we'll sketch up a design or two and discuss any changes you want made to them. Once a design is agreed upon, we can start building the actual key according to the sketch. This can take between 1-3 weeks depending on the complexity of the design, but we'll do our best to keep you updated throughout the process. Before we start, we usually ask for a minimum of 20% deposit (you may also pay in full if you wish to), the rest can be paid upon the key's completion.
Pick-up & Delivery
Once the key is finished, you can pick it up yourself at our workshop, or we can courier it directly to you for a small fee. Even though we strive to give ample time for the courier to deliver the keys, there can be delays from the third party courier company which we cannot control. We recommend that you get your key order in well before the event, and provide a delivery date at least one week before the actual event date.
Disclaimers
Our keys are made with (painted or stained) birch treated ply or acrylic glass (6mm thick unless requested to change by the customer) as per the design. Size and design determines the price. Once the deposit is made, there won't be a refund if the order is cancelled unless at the discretion of Etch2Edge. Once the key is made, no refunds will be given. Please ensure that the key's components are fully functional and executed to your liking, as there will be no refunds given after the key is delivered or picked up.
Delivery is done using a third party courier company and Etch2Edge is not responsible for delayed delivery times due to courier related issues (weather/floods/riots etc.). All steps will be taken to keep the delivery within the time frame, but delays can happen as there are circumstances that are out of our control as they are caused by courier issues and natural/unforeseen circumstances. No refunds will be given in the case of a delayed delivery that is not due to any fault of ours- compensation will be provided in the case that the delay to delivery was due to a mistake of ours.
There is no warranty for the product. Any electronic issues will be rectified, but return charges and any repair costs will have to be made by the customer.
